HOW ENVIRONMENTAL IMPERFECTIONS ALTER AUDIENCE PERCEPTION OF REALISM COMPARED TO A CLEAN GROOM
Advancing technologies within the VFX industry have brought us rapidly closer to recreating photorealistic animals and creatures. Digital Grooming is the part of that process that focuses on creating dynamic simulations to replicate fur and hair for digital creatures. Breakthroughs and advancements in rendering technologies and lighting techniques, like ray-tracing and dynamic interpolation of guide hairs, have allowed artists to continuously bridge the gap closer to photorealism.
